About

I'm Arvin, an indie hacker building products on my own. 10 years building my own products, 5 years working remote — no team, no funding, fully remote.

I run the whole thing myself: picking the idea, design, code, launch, SEO and getting users. Today about 90% of my income comes from a full-time remote job (which has plateaued) and 10% from my own products (still growing) — and I'm shifting my weight from the former to the latter.

In 2026 I started trying App Store tool apps — the first one, OOTD Diary, landed its first paying user within 15 days, which showed people do pay for tools like this. Still an experiment, not a verdict.

This site is my indie page: the home page lists every product, and Notes is what I wrote down while building them — real data, mistakes made, things figured out. Not tutorials, just the process. If you'd like to get in touch, drop your email on the home page.

What you can hire me for

Three kinds of one-on-one help I offer — all of it road I have walked myself:

Teaching AI-assisted coding (vibe coding)

Hands-on coaching on building with AI: how to prompt, how to set up the toolchain, and how to actually get an idea shipped. For people starting from zero who want a product of their own, and for developers who want AI to make them faster.

Remote job search coaching

I have worked remotely for 5 years and run remote.work, a remote job board. Résumé, communicating in English, where to find real openings, interviews and onboarding — walked through step by step for your situation.

Indie development coaching

10 years of indie development and 10 shipped products: picking an idea, validating it, pricing, App Store submission, cold start, SEO/AEO — so you can skip the mistakes I made.

FAQ

Who is Arvin?

Arvin (Arvin Xiang) is a Chinese-speaking indie hacker with 10 years of building his own products and 5 years of remote work. He works fully remote, with no team and no funding, running the whole cycle himself — from picking the idea to design, development, launch and getting users. He has shipped 10 products; his personal site is arvinxiang.com.

What has he built?

chuchuang.work (a launch platform for new products), chuchuang.site (AI-generated product sites), Luma SEO (lumaseo.com, AI SEO/AEO content), Dashang (dashang.me, creator tipping), Meizhoujian (meizhoujian.com, city meetups), Zayue (zayue.com, no-swipe dating), remote.work (yuancheng.work, a remote job board), plus iOS tool apps such as OOTD Diary and Mirror.

What is his stack?

Next.js (App Router) with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS on the web, React Native with Expo for apps, headless WordPress and custom APIs on the back end, WeChat Pay and Alipay for payments, and large language model APIs for AI features. He does the front end, back end, store submission and SEO himself.

What can I hire Arvin for?

Arvin offers three kinds of one-on-one coaching: teaching AI-assisted coding (vibe coding), remote job search coaching, and indie development coaching. For partnerships, cross-promotion or tool licensing, email support@chuchuang.work directly.

How do I contact him?

Email support@chuchuang.work is the fastest. You can also find him on GitHub (github.com/xiangming) or X (@webappsniper), or leave your email on arvinxiang.com.

About 90% currently comes from a full-time remote job (where income has plateaued) and about 10% from his own products (still growing). He is shifting his focus from remote work to indie development, and started trying App Store tool apps in 2026 — a direction he is still validating.
